Background
In 1992, John joined the law firm, Clausen Miller, P.C., as a summer associate and was welcomed as an associate attorney in 1993. At Clausen Miller, John represented plaintiffs in complex tort litigation in both state and federal court. John gained litigation experience successfully handling numerous catastrophic fire and explosion cases arising from defective & dangerous products and negligent design and construction.
In 1997, John was a founding partner of the Law Offices of Stime & Malm, a personal injury law firm concentrating his practice in bodily injury and wrongful death cases.
In 2001, The Law Offices of John J. Malm & Associates, a professional corporation, was established. The Naperville personal injury law firm continues to represent individuals and families who have suffered an injury or loss due to an accident. In 2013, the firm moved into its new offices in Naperville.

John proudly serves on both the Event Committee and Chicago Advisory Board of the Concussion Legacy Foundation, an organization committed to protecting athletes and families through CTE brain research, policy, and education.
As a father, John has been a volunteer coach in Tri-Cities Soccer Association, Batavia Youth Baseball, and Batavia Youth Football. He is a supporter of American Youth Foundation, UNICEF, Heifer International, the Batavia Interfaith Clothes Closet, the Batavia Food Pantry, Batavia United Way, and Tri-City Family Services.
John’s enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife, Sara, of 30 years, and his four sons. He enjoys various sports, skiing, stand-up paddle boarding, boating, sailing, travel, photography, history, art, movies, wine, cooking, architectural design, music and classic cars.
