Will Township Settles Suit Over 7-Year-Old's Death

JOLIET - A Will County township on Thursday agreed to settle a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of a 7-year-old girl who died in a traffic accident at an unprotected intersection in 2000, according to the plaintiffs' attorneys.

The suit claims that obstructed sight lines at the intersection were dangerous and the township failed to take care of the problem, though it told residents it had done so.
